The Canada-Manitoba Infrastructure Framework Agreement under the Building Canada Plan was signed on Friday, September 5, 2008. The agreement contains a number of components including the Communities Component, which is similar to the current Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund program in Manitoba.

MRIF - Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund, 2005-2010
The $ 120 million Canada-Manitoba Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund is investing in cleaner air, safer water and improved quality of life for Manitobans, primarily in rural and northern communities.
CMIP - Canada-Manitoba Infrastructure Program, 2000-2008
The $ 180 million Canada-Manitoba Infrastructure Program (CMIP) is benefiting Manitoba's urban, rural and northern municipal infrastructure. All funds under the CMIP have been allocated and no further applications are being accepted under this program.
CSIF - Canada Strategic Infrastructure Fund
The national $ 4 billion Canada Strategic Infrastructure Fund (CSIF) supports large-scale strategic infrastructure projects across Canada that are beyond the scope and capacity of existing programs like MRIF.
BCF-CC- Building Canada Fund- Communities Component
The $ 82 million Building Canada Fund- Communities Component invests in infrastructure construction, renewal, expansion, upgrade or material enhancement projects in communities with less than 100,000 people in Manitoba and across Canada.

FIMR - Fonds sur l'infrastructure municipale rurale, 2005-2010
Le Fonds sur l'infrastructure municipale rurale (FIMR) investe 120 millions de dollars pour purifier l'air, rendre l'eau plus sécuritaire et améliorer la qualité de vie des collectivités manitobaines, les rurales et du Nord en particulier.
PICM - Programme Infrastructures Canada-Manitoba, 2000-2008
Le Programme Infrastructures Canada-Manitoba (PICM) investit 180 millions de dollars dans les infrastructures du Nord, urbaines et rurales du Manitoba. Tous les fonds gérés par le PICM ont déjà été alloués et aucune nouvelle demande ne sera acceptée dans le cadre de ce programme.
FCIS - Fonds canadien sur l'infrastructure stratégique FCIS
Le programme national du Fonds canadien sur l'infrastructure stratégique, d'une valeur de 4 milliard de dollars, soutien les projets d'infrastructures de grande envergure qui dépassent la portée et la capacité des programmes existants, partout au pays.
FCC-VC Fonds Chantiers Canada – volet Collectivités, 2008-2017
Le volet Collectivités du Fonds Chantiers Canada, d’une valeur de 82 millions de dollars, soutient des projets qui facilitent la construction, la réfection, l’agrandissement, la modernisation ainsi que l’amélioration substantielle d’infrastructures dans des collectivités de moins de 100 000 habitants au Manitoba et dans l’ensemble du Canada.
