The Canada-Manitoba Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund (MRIF) is a $145 million infrastructure renewal fund. MRIF's key priorities are cleaner air, safer water, and improved quality of life for Manitobans, primarily in rural and northern communities.

  • 80% of MRIF is earmarked for communities with a population under 250,000. The remaining 20% is for communities over 250,000.
